Are you looking for smooth calf with leather sole? A lot of derbies seem to come with dainite/rubber. I have a pair of those Raf derbies in pebble grain and they are made in Italy. Maybe by Testoni or Santoni or something like that. They have the producer stamp on the edge, but I don't know which it is (it's a little starburst).

these Cheaney derbies aren't bad. A little slimmer toe than those Church's but still with the chunky sole and welt. https://www.cheaney.co.uk/country-leisure-collection-c7/cheaney-deal-derby-in-black-calf-leather-p82

Yup smooth leather. Thanks for the suggestion :)

How do you like Arlo Skye? I've been using my muji carry-ons for awhile and thinking about upgrading to aluminum

Lemme guess:
Rimowa, Master-Piece, Buttero (?). John Elliott, Niche?

Arlo Skye (thanks to Greg's endorsement), Master-Piece, SLP, John Elliott, SLP shirt though I have a similar Niche one, (VISIM no vis).

So far gone on 2 work trips with Arlo Skye and I like it. One of the flights forced me to check it because it was a tiny airplane so it got dinged up a bit. Oh well.

I Raf derby boots and derbies before on more than one occasion. I also had at one point a pair of pebbled grain Allen Edmonds Leeds. Every time this question comes up, about Raf derbies, my default answer is to check out the AE Leeds model. Good build and nice shape. The AE is a little more sleek, not significantly, but I always thought the Raf derby looked like a blob on foot from your own POV.

I thought it might be SLP boots but dismissed that as too obvious. Guess that I'll trust my instincts better from now on.

Lol sense editors are garbage generators
That article really sucked. The only thing that I learned was that Germans are most into sneaker Appreciation, which is completely unsurprising.

Did they quote Bataille on society of consummation and the accursed share?
No, though that would be infinitely more interesting. It's mostly statistics by people who don't really understand statistics, aka fun graphs.

No, but they managed to work in Sonic the Hedgehog, which I think should be a requirement for anything that talks about internet culture or fetishes. I'm just disappointed that they didn't manage to get him in there until about 2/3 of the way down

Is it with pornhub? They release stats (totally sfw page btw) that can be interesting although their approach often looks highly suspect or obviously unhelpful as based on variation between super short intervals (sure Icelanders searched for 500% more furry Appreciation than last month but that's like Arnsteinn who got into it for 3 days last week).

The mens fashion weeks have been so poor for the last few seasons.

Esteemed tailoring houses trying to turn everything into sportswear and then wondering why nobody is buying $4000 tracksuits.

The big name houses that were once the leaders trying to grab quick sales by copying the insipid joke fashion of Vetements and Virgil Abloh. You were once the innovators, you dont need to do that! Meanwhile, the young independent designers are also copying that Vetements, Virgil Abloh mould. Now we have both ends of fashion doing the same thing, meeting in the middle with at least 20 collections that look like my Postman or that guy who always asks for a spare cigarette.

Some favourites that I could rely on for a nice collection, Marni, Lanvin, Our Legacy, Paul Smith have been a bit flat lately too.

I often find myself drawn towards the sartorial brands just because of their consistency but its not quite my thing, too contrived.

Interested to see what Kim Jones does at Dior, Kris Van Assche does at Berluti and Jacquemus Menswear though.

**** I hate that Margiela has changed their shirt measurements into the 15.5, 16.5 ****.....i used to be able to buy blindly knowing something will fit. Any of you fellas know what a size 16.5 corresponds to? Like a size 52? Farfetch refuses to tell me pit to pit measurements
