i'll third kamakura, but i wish there were more options for their straight collar. tokyo slim is trim but not slim. i think the ny slim is less trim and longer? i usually just get spread broadcloths because im boring like that

when will hidden placket shirts make a comeback so i can buy en masse

Does anyone else have these weird, unexplainable dislikes? I immediately reject "easy pants" with a draw string and beef roll and horse-bit loafers. They just look wrong to me.

I used to not like corduroy as well, until I became a member here and I tried a pair of corduroy trousers, and really like them.

I fully admit that it's me and not them.

Easy pants like sweat pants, or pants that don’t have a traditional button and zipper closure?

I have some Y-3 pants that sort of blur the line between being sweatpants (made of a wool blend) that has a button and zipper closure.

Sacai does the same deal (different material)

Sweats with a draw string and a belt loop is pretty funny though.

Sweatpants with draw strings don't bother me at all. Pants like Bennys and Mended Bennys from 18East which are designed to be closed with a drawstring are cool as well.

It's regular looking pants with a drawstring.

I'm curious as to what other pet peeves are.

Actually not. What other people wear, is of zero concern.

It is mostly when I see a piece of clothing online and think about how it would look on me.

What are you thoughts on this new type of "fold" or lay out style for pre-owned stuff thats popped up recently.

For some reason it grosses me out, I don't know why.

Heven't people been doing that forever? I think that it's fine as long as you are good with used stuff?

Oh yeah? Maybe I'm just cottoning onto it now but I haven't noticed it before.

Real question - what bothers you about it? I only buy vintage if I am looking for something very specific from a past season or for some design inspo, so, these days hardly at all, but I would never get anything used and not have it washed before use in any case.

i think purp is referring to the presentation itself . very blousy way of laying out .

I'd guess it has to do with selling that rounded silhouette , like it's kind of showing the garment as oversized .

as far as 2ndhand / vintage I prefer to shop primarily at thrifts ( I will buy retail from designers that I want to support directly ) .
