Explaining to a New York City policeman and his partner the value of the RRL jeans and shirt that was stolen from your apartment building entryway is a bit like running over an elementary school teacher with a Bugatti.

Anyone have any style / clothing related resolutions for the year? I'm going to try to buy much less, buy more vintage, and track all my purchases. So far haven't copped anything so far this year.

Is it just that they use the same marketing agency or are Noah NYC, Rowing Blazers and ALD all related? I get emails from 2 and sometimes all 3 at the same time with the same messaging. Today it was Noah and RB with last day of sale - 40% off emails at the same time.

I once had a cop try to lecture me about braking distance, in which conversation he cited as example the Bugatti "Very-On." I knew if I chuckled I would probably get a ticket, so I didn't, but it was very tempting.

Well, I just sent off my last two wool Inverallan knits to Luxeswap, and I feel like I’ve committed a mortal knitwear sin. Life is too short to wear itchy sweaters. I did keep my black indigo cotton 1A, though.

I've always thought my Inverallan to be totally unwearable. So rough and scratchy :(

Come on. No one lounges around in an Inverallan - it rough as an urchin chainmail coat... ;)
Not everyone has your baby soft skin :)

Truth is, they are really awful to wear. I’ve had four knits and four knitted caps, and the only one I’ve even worn is the indigo cotton 1A (oh, and a cashmere scarf). I’ve resold all the others. You can get a hand knitted Aran in merino for about half the price, too.

I wear my single knit Inverallan over a t-shirt all the time... :eh: maybe actually soft knits will feel that much better to me?

Also the double knit heavy/thick one too? Does this mean I have arms of adamantium?
