What's usually the main difference in mens and womens trousers?

I'm getting kinda frustrated by how boring the student budget friendly places are when it comes to lower body options wrt drape/fit, colours/patterns, etc. Not everything has to be a black slim-fit chino damn it. I can't right now afford several hundred euros on a single item, so browsing through various womens sections has me curious. I've only ever bought womens outerwear before. What fit problems might I run into as a lanky 6'0 dude?

well when mr garrison transitioned on south park they drew the trouser crotch like a 'Y' instead of a straight 'I' to denote the different cuts iirc but dunno if that would be a deal breaker for your style

In the late 90s we used to buy women’s jeans to get that tight fit. Besides useless pockets not much else of a difference.

Space for your junk in the front. You'll find the cut is different even on high rise, loose fit, pants.
