I am quickly concluding that clothing with indigo dye transfer is not for me. Walking around with blue fingertips is ridiculous. Throwing Blue Blue Japan on the list of SF brands I can do without.
I asked this a few pages back but I'll ask again as I'm still on the hunt - Looking for some fall/winter-weight suit/blazer recs - need one for a wedding but I also want to be able to wear it for other occasions. It doesn't have to be too formal (i.e. I probably won't wear a tie). Any other recs?
Lemaire has a such a specific look and their sport coats have very distinctive details -- low slung gorge, skinny flaps, roomy cut, etc. If you really love the Lemaire look, you may want to just get one of those.
But for other soft (and casual) tailoring, you might look at Barena, Boglioli (K and Dover jackets) and maybe Caruso. Those are my favorite brands for soft type jackets. Dries is great but he doesn't do the soft thing very often. Usually it's narrow structrured shoulders. Also, I would recommend just getting a full suit (which, imo, is better for more formal occasions even if you eschew the tie) and then you can wear the jacket with other trou later.
cheers. i've had my eye out for lemaire but the blazers are tough to come by second hand/between seasons. will take a look at the others you suggested, thanks.

Never got a significant amount of blue fingers from any of my Blue Blue Japan pieces.
