I wouldn’t wear that if Galliano paid me to

What do you think of new brioni? It's one of the og crew when Martin was still at Margiela. Definitely a taste of MM there though definitely not the same

for stretch denim, if you have to pick between slightly snug (that will stretch out a bit) or slightly loose (which you can shrink), which pair do you think works out best in the end?

I've been looking at these Albam pleated trousers - they are wide and cropped. Kinda like Marni but for a fraction of the price. Anyone familiar with that brand? Is it any good?

I've not bought anything from them for a couple of years, but unless they've changed recently, the quality is good both fabric and construction wise. They specialise in well-made 'basics'.

Oddly enough, I got a pair of lightweight Naked & Famous Easy guys in stretch for the summers. I sized them pretty true to size, as I had a theory that stretch denim in a decent quality fabric actually stretches less than 100% cotton. I was correct on this particular pair as it's stay pretty true in measurements. Something about the extra synthetic retains its shape better. So maybe slightly loose?

@Coldsnap yeah I could see that, and it's kinda my natural reaction to go TTS too, but the fit I'm getting is kinda like the brand's fit pic which is fine but I can almost slip them off buttoned-up so I'm considering a size down

100% cotton jeans aren't "stretchy" but they stretch out permanently with wear. Elastane-infused jeans are "stretchy" as you put them on but they should return to their original size when you take them off. Stretch-denim tends to be harder to shrink by washing and drying with heat and it may not work.

Pants shouldn't be able fall down on their own.

If you're picking between slightly-small and slightly-large, the small pair will probably be comfortable enough thanks to stretchiness but beware the sausage-casing look. (The model above would look fine, I'm sure, with a waist size one inch smaller.)
