Good to hear that AS will not "disappear", but it'd be less attractive to me if branded with a different name.

Normally I'd share this view, but from reading Jespers interview it appears the new company will have the original factory, staff, machinery, lasts and patterns of AS. Also the AS brand has apparently only existed since the mid 80s but the factory has been going since the 1890s, so the real history is retained.

They can hopefully retain “Sargent” linking it to the founder and family behind the company.
