I ‘hit an age’ where my foot sz changes. I reached the time of life for "declining health” and just after a new paira AE hitop wingtips (big bucks for me) my feet shot upa size, size’n a half (o0OPs). Does not agree w/my ankle and foot change. I think they’ll change w/compression sock & meds. Anyway, I all ways been mindful of how I look and am at a bit ofa quandary. Guys w/some age (even more’n me) might have some insight, plez?

I found some (what I call) deconstructed shoes. Hand made, kinda ‘early’, like renaissance or middle ages (possibly pre-last, before cobblers used that technique). Soft, ‘open’, with a durable soul, many wrap around styles, or ‘different ties’, and so on - perfectly acceptable style(s)... Trouble is they will not sell 'acc. the pond’. Too many returns (european size mismatch w/our ‘merican sz', and other un-known difficulties).

Any ideas from the guys who’ve been through this already? Possible solutions? Not into 24/7 sneakers...
Thank You,
- -Chad

Hi Chad. Allen Edmonds offers some models that should fit comfortably such as the Alpha woven "sneaker." It's less a sneaker than a casual shoe. It comes in beige, blue, and some other colors. They also have some dressy sneakers - leather tops with white bottoms that look nice. I'm now wearing a 13 EEE - up from a 12 EEE and had much success with Allen Edmonds for the past 30 years. Good luck!

they look flabby / not rigid, that’s the ticket, thank you. Look like my J&M McGruff but hi top’n sueded instead.
I am not moving forward on 2 newer fashion fronts: white soul, special treated toe (usually darker than the rest from factory). You can see both here... https://www.johnstonmurphy.com/mcgu...6267_color=Light Tan Oiled Full Grain Leather
Toe not too bad when arriving, no more white below (last I’LL get)...

OK, looks like all I’ll get here. No more responses.

Will hafta keep looking. Some shoe makers round here
(living in the woods, the ‘deconstructed’ ones, more like
what was worn around the Renaissance time period 14/15th Cent.).
