The picture is a little dark but you seem to be fit so the answer is "No". If you have any kind of belly the answer is "Yes".

I am an university student and it's often cold in the lecture room even when it's hot outside. I am thinking of getting the following bag to carry my jacket, as I'm on a budget and it is pretty big. Is there anything terribly wrong about this bag?

Well, I'm getting it because of the size, so I don't have to carry my jacket by hand and put it in the bag. It gets troublesome fast to have the jacket on my forearm or over my shoulder, especially when I have to do shopping after classes. And there was this one time I almost lost my m-65, because I put it on a sofa at my university, and forgot to get it. I don't want to risk it.
