There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

As the weather turns, I find myself more and more interested in putting some tweed in my arsenal. This thread will serve as a dumping ground for any and all inspirational looks of tweed - be it vintage, WAYWRN shots, advertisements, swatches or cloth.

I hope Parker does not mind me kicking it off with what is possibly one of my favorite tweed ensembles, which he posted in the WAYWRN tweed challenge of 11/26/10.

Just bought this bad boy: ebay

For the impecunious igent, tweed from ebay represents a pretty goddam good deal...

Much as I want to love tweed, every time I touch it at my tailor's shop, I am reminded of the 10 usd rough wool blankets my father used to donate to all the laborers at his construction site during the winters

Good stuff there.. I wonder why this thread isn't getting more traction. Maybe its been done? Maybe Tweed in the City has stolen the thunder?

Several students the other day commented about how I resemble Dr. Who. I do not watch the show, so the comment didn't mean much to me, but I'm familiar enough to have guessed at the identity of the man below.

As it happens I got my first tweed jacket over the weekend. And I just ordered a few more bow ties.

So it looks like I'll resemble Dr. Who more than before now, for better or worse.

I wore a tweed jacket just yesterday to photograph a wedding. I love when the weather gets cold enough to start wearing tweed.

Here are pics taken today at the Alameda Flea Market. The Tweed Lady has a booth every month and shows up with hundreds of vintage tweed jacket. Most are Harris tweed and sell for $49.00.

IMO Tweed can look costumey on young guys, so avoid brown or bright window panes
Solids r good, in blues, greys
    - okay so I have myself on ignore -
