As the weather turns, I find myself more and more interested in putting some tweed in my arsenal. This thread will serve as a dumping ground for any and all inspirational looks of tweed - be it vintage, WAYWRN shots, advertisements, swatches or cloth.

I hope Parker does not mind me kicking it off with what is possibly one of my favorite tweed ensembles, which he posted in the WAYWRN tweed challenge of 11/26/10.

Post them pics!

Just bought this bad boy: ebay

For the impecunious igent, tweed from ebay represents a pretty goddam good deal...

Much as I want to love tweed, every time I touch it at my tailor's shop, I am reminded of the 10 usd rough wool blankets my father used to donate to all the laborers at his construction site during the winters

I'll have more tweed coming in soon and I'll try and post a group shot. Glad that yummy tweed weather has arrived!

Several students the other day commented about how I resemble Dr. Who. I do not watch the show, so the comment didn't mean much to me, but I'm familiar enough to have guessed at the identity of the man below.

As it happens I got my first tweed jacket over the weekend. And I just ordered a few more bow ties.

So it looks like I'll resemble Dr. Who more than before now, for better or worse.

I wore a tweed jacket just yesterday to photograph a wedding. I love when the weather gets cold enough to start wearing tweed.

+1. i love that first chill in the air when i know i get to break out some sweaters and overcoats. i love that crisp cool smell in the air as well.
