There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I sold something to afford it, so I'm letting myself off the hook.

Wrong as in the fact they were not even trying to pretend Flea was actually plugged in and playing?

Also, men over 50 should not go on stage dressed like that even if they are as buff as Flea is.

the no-plug. Kind of funny. Flea said he was given no choice, but i'm not sure if that meant that he was told they're going to dub him or if the bass simply wouldn't hold tune over the course of an aggressive song when it's 30 degrees out.

So, I have been in a string band for the past 4 years, however, on Friday I am playing my first rock show in a long long time. It's all my own tunes in the vein of Wilco, Dawes, Father John Misty. Kind of nervous to be playing guitar again (I've played bass in my other band) and putting my own shit out into the public's ears!

    Anyway, enough of that emo-ness.

    My set up will be:

Xaviere tele, honey blonde, black pg (This thing was $130 on CL and has been a better player than the majority of USA Fenders I've played)
New Vintage 25 watt head and 2x12
Pedals: Boss TU2 > Ibanaez AD9 > Xotic AC Boost > Barber Direct Drive > Eventide Delay

I will try and post some videos or audio if it happens!

Frusciante's solo stuff is always out there, but I really enjoy it.

It's got feeling and soul to it, regardless of genre.

Just waiting for John to come back (again), so the RHCP can be great (again)

really.. non-issue.. they had fun RHCP style.

Fru is a freaking nut. Have you ever seen any of his crazy H interviews where he's playing solo stuff... completely out there is an understatement.

    I really like John's solo/heroin music...

RHCP are just too noodle-y for my taste. Never really were my cup of tea...

Chad Smith tweeted that "FYI every band in the last 10 years of the super bowl has performed to a previously recorded track. It's the NFL's policy. Period."

seems like these guys aren't treating like the non-issue that it really is.

When I read Flea's letter I figured that was the case. I don't see why anyone gives a shit.

Fru solo stuff can be pretty awesome, I hope he does some acoustic sets at some point.

note: i just wanted that for my 14,000th poast. My previous idea was to bitch and whine about people ignoring the obvious (artists at the SB have 12 minutes to set up and then perform. Tube amps take a few minutes before they're properly hot and ready to go, so of course all this music is a mime).
