So Herring is haveing a big pre-christmas sale. Does anyone have experience with their Grays chukka? Do any of you know where it is made and if it uses leatherboard in the heel stiffener?

Only says "Imported", it is unusual since Herring always tell where are their shoes made.So Herring is haveing a big pre-christmas sale. Does anyone have experience with their Grays chukka? Do any of you know where it is made and if it uses leatherboard in the heel stiffener?

Is it possible China or India?
How the hell do you always find such nicely lasted longwings? I'm in the market for something like what you have, I don't like the uber tank-ish looking longwings from Allen Edmonds that I own.Brand: Herrings
Model: Weybridge
Manufacturer: Loake
Sole: Dainite
Colour: Bordo grain
Note: A pair of longwings used as beaters, unfortunately I can not find the last, but is clearly a Loake Royal pattern mounted on a different last, maybe 026. IMO this last is better than the one used in the Royal.

BerwickAlso out of curiosity,
Who makes Herrings Spanish made shoes? If so, how is the quality?
I know Carlos Santos makes their Portuguese offerings.
Also on an unrelated note-how do the Wildsmith Kennedy loafers look in person?
Continuing my shoeshinning labour, now some beaters:
Brand: Loake
Model: Chester
Supplier: Herrings
Sole: Dainite
Last: 026
Colour: Mahogany
Note: These shoe have walked with me several european and american cities and have been mistreated a lot, they have seen snow, rain, mud and you can see them happy as always. Next time I should clean the welt with some saddle soap and a toothbrush. The Loake 's 1880 line is very reliable and an excellent place to start a collection. The reddish hue is due to early morning sunlight and layers of wax.
