New member, first post. Nice to meet you all!

Recently, I graduated from college. Shortly thereafter, I realized that my clothes were not adequate, especially my shoes. So, with a job and some disposable income available, I'm trying to build a wardrobe from scratch. And I am honestly clueless about clothes.

I've been from Costco to Nordstroms, Lands' End to J.Crew, and back again, searching for that sweet spot between price, quality, and style. And Sweet Mother of Jesus. It's hard to find.

Anyway, here's my first quality shoe purchase:

I bought a pair of Grensons from Bonobos for $265 (discounted from $315).

From Grenson's website:
Style: \tShoe
Lasts: \t204
Fitting: \tF
Colour:\tBrown
Sole: \tSingle leather
Material: \tCalf-smooth

I'm interested in your thoughts on the brand, price, style, etc.

Thanks!

Hi Jace and Welcome.

Your Grenson shoes are a decent choice in my humble opinion. It's a rich brown with an on trend contrasting sole edge and as I understand its quite a sleek narrow last without being stupidly pointy.

Grenson is a good brand but their standards do vary across their different ranges, so whilst I don't expect your shoes will have the finest calf, construction etc for the price you paid they are ok any less and you'd be getting a good bargain. I think it will be a decent wearing shoe but you'll need to make sure you look after them - a good starting point.

Wear them in good health.
