So I wear a 10 1/2 in BB Peals, 11 in sebago docksiders, 11 1/2 in most any athletic shoes, and a 9 1/2 in Tod's...where would this put me in the Polo shoes? Also -- is there a verdict on which is better between the Benton and the Stanton and whether either or both are C&J? Thanks and sorry if I'm hitting territory that has been covered before.

Stanton is a mystery Italian maker. Benton is CJ and, in my opinion, the far superior shoe.

As to your size, which maker made your BB Peals? I don't know about the other shoe types, sorry.

Try them on if you can. The CJ Polos run fairly true to US sizing.

Yeah, as stated above, the issue with Polo's is that they aren't made by Polo. They have different makers - i.e., C&J, Edward Green, the mystery place in Italy, etc. So, the fit will be different. A lot of times I find their shoes to run narrow.

+1 on the benton over the stanton.

I agree that Polo shoes run a bit narrow. Both the mystery Italian made shoes and C&J are narrow. The Italian made shoes I own, the Carlsons, seem to run slightly small in both length and width.
