"Screwston"? Huh, where's that? I live in HOUSTON--are they related?

Seriously, dude, you think that makes you sound cool or something? Go ask someone in San Francisco how they feel about "San Fran"...

Unless you are DJ Michael 5000 Watts (and from the pictures you've posted, you most certainly are not), please don't refer to our city that way. Lol. Just don't.

Now people can't make fun of their own home cities online? When did that start? I guess I'd better change my location....

Lol. I hate Houston. Nothing wrong with poking fun at your domicile. I was born and raised here (18 years), then moved to another state, and then to various other parts of TX. Now I'm back in Houston, and I know people from all walks of life, all parts of town. If you did, too, you'd understand just how bizarre (in a bad way) and not ironic it is that @orange fury chose to refer to this place as "Screwston"...

Wilbert on a snowy morning. Funny how I pick my shoe first and clothes after.

You're not the only one. My routine is also to check the weather first, check whats going on this forum, then pick my shoes and the rest of the outfit.

Is there a lot of fornication? Or does the city claim lots of companies manufacturing building supplies and hardware?

Had to suit up again today and since it snowed about 4” overnight and I had to be outside and I don’t have any overshoes, I opted for the black McGregors. I also wore for the first time in public my father’s old trilby hat sort of as a tribute. Might do it again. Sorry (or you’re welcome), no pics.
Sorry for your loss, friend. That's a nice tribute.

So, Texas.

As an aside, I love how everyone on here casually posts about “getting 4-5” of snow last night”. Meanwhile, we’re down here expecting a couple hours of snow flurries tomorrow and the city has straight up shut down. School districts closed, mayor’s office telling employers to have people stay home, the works lol
Up here we have 4+ inches of snow, but we have the equipment and experience to remove it. If a city isn’t used to this every winter, and doesn’t have sufficient snow removal equipment, it might be prudent to shut down for a bit, if for no other reason than keep people off street. It does seem kind of “chicken little-ish” sky is falling, but may be wise.
