Mazzy shirt. Bigi tie and square. ****** indoor light, sadly blowing out the square.

Thanks for the thumbs, gents, and for the compliment, Murlsquirl.

To no surprise at all, the tie has a great texture and knots easily and well. The square is a very supple wool with a bit of fuzz. I quite like the shirt--the fabric is has a wonderful feel, and the collar has a nice spread. I might need the body a bit slimmer, but we'll see after a couple of washes.

I also want to say that Greg was fantastic to deal with over email about my order. Very quick and thoughtful replies. Much appreciated!

Stitch, I really like that rusty/copper color tie. I find that color tie to be ideal with mossy green or to give a navy jacket a fresh look.

thanks! i cant deal with high rise. we are teh opposite!

I wasn't talking about lunch. But good news; may G_d's mercy and blessing abound in the House of Stitch. :)

The low rise puts me off most ready to wear stuff these days, and I actually think a higher rise would suit you better. But those suits are still pretty damn sheksy.

iirc i think my US HYs in 38 are pretty similar to the rota 54s (have not worn HYs since summer) ,with the rotas being a little bit slimmer. id say a rota 54 is somewhere between a US 38 HY and a IT HY of the same size. dont know if that helps. good luck !

Thanks! Nice pick-up on the tie!

I picked up a Calabrese laptop sleeve, and the patch is stitched on slightly crooked. Is that normal? Not really complaining, just wondering.

Is it the stitch line that is crooked (not very straight) or the position/angle of the patch itself. If the former, that's normal. If the latter, that isn't normal and if it bothers you, we have an other unit and will be happy to exchange.

I don't think everyone needs or want high rise pleated trousers. It reminds me of the tie width discussion where some are convinced that x.x" is the "right" width or that 1/8" either way makes any sort of difference.

Contrary to the prevalent "classic style" dogma around these parts, I actually think that medium rise trousers are most flattering on most men. It is more aligned with the Ivy style (that many Italians love) than with English tradition. While I don't mind the look of high rise pleated trousers on other men's suits (I don't like to wear them myself), I personally think they often look off as odd trousers and that medium rise flat fronts look better with sport coats or a sweater.

High rise flat fronts on the other hand almost universally look terrible.
