Im trying to decide between the vans:

And the chuck taylors:

I really like the way both look and cant make up my mind. Both vans and the taylors are quite popular in socal (and i imagine everywhere else), but i dont see much folks wearing these particular colors much (in the vans case, the style as well, slip ons more popular than lace ups).

If there are other canvas/off white sneakers you think i should be looking at as well feel free to let me know.

I like the vans better. The pure white toe on the chucks jars a little with the off white upper, not a fan.

Chucks. Those Vans remind me too much of those white Keds worn by nurses in the old days.

I like the other recommendation. Go for Purcells.

Agree wholeheartedly. I have the cracked white Gola Strip (slip-on version of the Stride) and they are as comfortable as they are hot looking. They go well with everything and I get comments on them every time I go out. The only drawback is the 'cracked paint' will strip color from your jeans...

What about Pf Flyers Center Lo?

I've heard good things about them (that they are more comfortable than chucks, etc.), but don't like the low tops as much as I do the highs.
