Totally disagree; if I met you in the street I would have no idea you were wearing them.

Maybe its because I'm young and nerdy, but every step closer we come to cyborg style customisation the happier I get. If you want to wear them, more power to you, I don't see how picking your eye colour is any different to picking your watch strap.

looks okay... i even wore grey ones that were really questionable. i guess my clue should've been the fact that chicks wanted them too.

Looks good, and if the color makes you feel good, so much the better.

They look fine to me, the only time they look bad is when the colour is unnatural or incongruous with your hair colour.

You should probably come out of the closet tho.

Basically, it's begging for attention, and in the worst, one-bottle-blonde, boob job way. Same as your leather jacket. Just screams that you're butching up. (BTW, the catwalk-military, Michael Jackson-looking shoulder flaps scream METRO [ = gay]). Tough guys know they're tough, but choose to soften their look so as to not intimidate others.

What do internet tough guys do to soften their look so as to not intimidate other poasters?

You make a stylistic choice choice that you dig, but are self conscious about it to the point that you have to ask the internet when your friends aren't down? If you don't have the confidence to wear something different, then don't do things differently. Embrace it or leave it, but the awkward middle ground where you try and justify things doesn't work...

wouldn't it be awkward the morning after a girl sleeps over and you had to explain to her when she asks why your eyes look different?

dude, consider yourself lucky for being moderately good looking...I wouldn't be tripping over colored lenses. Lighter skin/hair/eye tend to be effeminate traits so for men darker is better. Avoid Tom Ford's boy look at all costs!

Color contacts on men is gay. I don't mean that as a pejorative either. When I see colored contacts on a man, I literally assume he's a homosexual. It's gay like pride rainbows are gay.

don't about that one man.
probably won't be an issue until you have to explain it to whatever woman you become attached to.
i can't see explaining that one away without her raising an eyebrow or two.
most women probably would not think that is a good look.
