I guess I'm going to be square. I'm working in downtown today and I wouldn't go near that parade if you paid me (ok, maybe if you paid me enough). Stand around in a mass of people for 30 seconds of fun.

Nooooo thank you.

Just read this online. What a classy move.

Cabbie Abraham Teferi, whose taxi was attacked and burned by the mob [after the Lakers championship], was given a $10,000 check by Staples Center owner AEG.

AEG president and CEO Tim Leiweke said the taxi was covered by the cab company's insurance so AEG decided to cover the personal expenses of Teferi, 41, an Ethiopian immigrant who has been in the United States for nine years.

"This isn't about a car, this is about a life," Leiweke said.

Ron is totally insane and a complete idiot, but i do agree with the article that he is genuine. genuine where everyone else's public personality is totally manufactured and plastic, and sometimes conceals utter hypocrisy.

btw i never blamed him for the Detroit fracas. not for one second. which one of us wouldn't have done the exact same thing? i only wish that cup-throwing asshole who started it got what he deserved
