OMW to the expo for the Long Beach marathon. I love the excitement of races!
4 tonight to stay loose.
Lettin Maiden Play (typically I reserve it for car rides to the mountains)

Good luck!

Took a few days off to rest a sore achilles, came back today with an easy 4 miler and nothing's bothering me.

I tend to only run 2 miles when I workout because I tend to notice that I lose weight if I run more than 2 miles per workout.

Does this happen to anyone else?

9.0 tonight in 58:25.
70.1 miles total for the week, highest mileage week in a long long time for me. Feels so great to be getting my mileage back up.

Good luck. You said you are aiming for 1:35, right? I think you'll be able to run that no problem. How is the course? im guessing pretty flat.

i try no to do more 20 minutes of cardio on the days I lift. doing anything more begins to pull on your muscle and inhibits muscle development.

How about holding a cardio session apart from the pumping iron session? I doubt most have that kind of time though..

i actually tried doing that, but its hard to maintain. a friend of mine is training for a marathon and he runs at night. i usually join him on the days i don't feel like running in the a.m. or days i only do cardio but it still does a number on my body. One week I ended up logging in 30 miles on top of the time i spent weightlifting.
