You may want to check out the AS expatriate thread for full information, pictures etc, but here a few facts: SH was trained as a cutter a n d as tailor at AS (he is the son of SA director John Hitchcock) and has just had his 10 year jubilee as independent Master tailor on the Row - you bet it is a soft shoulder, just me there! :)

Nope. It's part of the look. I saw a beige linen RLBL which also had a translucent half-lined back.

Absolutely splendid. I like the stitch in the lapel of the coat. Nice silhouette.

I'm surprised the iThugs didn't get their panties twisted over DTO's blatant copying of their menu.

I like this quite a bit. Wish the photo was better quality so I could see it better.

Looks great. I had the first fitting for an almost identical one today (mine is slightly easier through the waist and will have a lining, and two buttons). It will be interesting to compare how two different tailors (I presume; who did you use?) execute two essentially identical jackets. Could be worth a thread maybe, if anyone else is interested.

Wow, the forum knows me too well! The new one will indeed be the same format; in an un-patterned, fabulously boring, navy and with the jacket length increased 2cm (because dr. locktopus is right).

Coming to a WAYWRN near you at the end of the summer...
