Those look great ... congrats.

Are you local to Dayton or did you get lucky with sizing?

hey man thx; i'm local about 10 min away. Andrew has been very helpful with sizing me as I have a pair of their rough out chukkas on order. These nubuck's I just walked in hoping they'd have a pair in my size and they did!

For size, I went with my Viberg 1035 size (which is an 8.5). I also compared them with my size 9D Alden Indy's and for me the Dayton 8.5 EEE fit similar (with slightly more width in the Daytons).

Nice writeup and photos. That brown rough-out looks awesome.

Kinda want some plain-toe parade boots.

Got a pair of the OG collab ones I'm letting go. Size 8.5 black nubuck, almost like new.

@LA Guy

If this isn't allowed, edit out my comment or delete it. I didn't know if it would be okay or not since a lot of guys seem to be lurking for a pair.

I have these boots in charcoal nubuck that I love but the sizing sucks .. I traced my foot and did the measurements and they originally put me in a 9EEE which is huge in the heel. Waited 12 weeks for these and had to send them back and wait another 9-12 weeks and they gave me a 9EE. A tad tight in the forefoot but still loose in the heel. Right now Im currently trying to sell them. They are basically new but I have a hard time letting them go. I have to tighten them a lot or my heel lifts every time I walk. Also the sole is vibram and it is hard as hell. So confused on what to do with them. Not sure if I should just deal with them and break them in or sell them and move on.

Still love the way the w+h ones look over the normal ones.

joxr, my heel lifted all the time until I broke them in.
sorry about the vibram sole, it's probably very stiff.

mine are leather even though I put a lug sole on it, still soft to walk on.

The vibram sole has like no flex whatsoever. I might either sell them or try to exchange them for a smaller size and a different sole. Maybe a leather with a topy or something .

What is the best sole combo for a comfort because the vibram is definitely not it lol

actually a leather sole with the commando over it like alden does would be perfect but I doubt they could do that. I just emailed them to see if exchanging them is even an option. If not Ill just sell and move on.

Been lurking for while, finally signed up :)

Just got these recently :) Top notch quality. My own leather, so don't go pestering them for an exact same pair.

I wish the welt stitching was tighter to the upper on the brown pair but that was a very minor gripe. Otherwise, heavy as usual but super comfortable and supple. I think leather sole with Topy is the best way to go on these. Basically the idea was to end up with the dressiest possible service boot.

Why doesn't the heel cap reach the vamp.

I swear it's like they change the pattern constantly or something
