After few nights of indulgence, I think I really have to take a break for the next 1 week.

The Muchote? Very good for the price. Think I paid $20 or $29 dollars. It's a $50 bottle of tequila. Very smooth and tasty.

Drinking Pineau Brillet, Pineau Des Charentes. Its good, but just isn't my favorite kind of wine. It tastes too much like raisins. I need acid in my wine. But hey, what do I know.

Veuve (stash from last year when the exchange rate was such that we could get bottles for ~50% of what it usually costs up north)

Had a 2006 Peay Estate Chard. You know, I finally found a Peay I'm not absolutely in love with. But keep in mind, I'm not a big Chard fan to begin with. Had it with seared divers scallops and a white sauce over pasta.

Now, MuchOte anejo tequila in the same drink I had last night (3 part tequila, 3/4 part simply syrup, 1/2 a blood orange.)

Baker's bourbon with ice.. Not a bad whiskey at all for the price (around $45), with some very complex flavors.. Also had a discussion with the guy at the local liquor store who tells me that the Elmer T. Lee bourbon is made from the same recipe as the Pappy Van Winkle I love so much, with the only difference being age (7 years).. I may need to try it, since PVW is more rare than hen's teeth.. Did get on the list for the fall allocation of George T. Stagg though.. Looking forward to that..
