First ever Drake's tie (Bought on clearance during my NYC trip a month ago). I love the pattern and the small knot it ties.

Anyone tried any of the new outerwear at all?
Drake’s posted a photograph of a female artist in the tweed via instagram and it looked so much better than the online photographs in my opinion. Piqued my interest

I find that the online photos aren't the best representation of the products. I find myself more interested after seeing the photos in their lookbooks or instagram feed.

I agree, I’m not sure what it is about the online store but they’ve just never seemed to get it right (for me). However by contrast the lookbooks and Instagram feed are great, and more representative of wearing the items in a day to day context.

I might have to just try it!

Thank you for the tip on the Astorflex at Guideboat co.

Crucial question - does the model being sold by Guideboat (I notice that it is not referred to as "Astorflex") still have the Astorlfex branding on the tongue? I ordered a pair through Huckberry last month, and though I loved everything else about them that tacky logo stamp forced me to return.

It's hard to tell from the photos of the tied-up shoe.

I was informed by a few shops that apparently the older batch Astorflex chukkas does not have the branding but newer batch does....

I’m in between sizes (42.5) normally, but they only do whole sizes. The store I asked said I should size down for these; does anyone here have experience with that?

You returned them because of the branding on the tongue? Did they also not fit well or sometbing or was that the sole reason? Your pants would cover that anyways.

Update: I am insane enough to have called Guideboat's store, where a very patient woman let me know that all the dark khaki colored chukkas had the logo stamp, but the stone does not. Unfortunately, I was after the dark khaki.

I did. They're identical as far as I can tell. I'm planning to get another one.

How did you size relative to your normal size? Columbia Knitting provides measurements, but they seem so large that I'd be inclined to size down, and want to make sure that doing so wouldn't be a mistake.

Definitely size down. I ordered an XL (what I normally wear) and it was massive. I had to return and will be picking up a couple of larges.
