Has anyone been able to figure out who makes their stuff??Sure. The first four are Soragna, the last two Limited Edition. What can you discern from this?
I'd suggest going with your SuitSupply size for the suit. I believe there's also an option to request different sized trousers.Hi guys!
Living in Australia, Pini Parma is an online-only option for me, but one I’m very interested in.
I’ve got two questions I was hoping for some advice on.
1. How to prevent the iconic wide waistbands from bending over/folding onto itself? My only item from PP are size 48 IT/42 FR / 32 US Soragna trousers. I’ve had to tailor them a fair bit, particularly the seat, waist and lower legs had to be slimmer down for it to not be baggyish. However, even before these alterations, the waistband often folds over onto itself, outwards, which is a bad look and quite annoying. Any tips on how to prevent this? Or is this just my build (I’m very slim but as a young dad have put on some pounds, which exclusively show up around my lower belly).
2. Suit sizes. The best OTR fit I can find is a SuSu Jort, Havana or Washington in 48 (Jort or Havana need minor taking in at waist). Given that and the tailoring needed on the 48 Soragna trousers, what size Pini suits would you guys recommend - 48 or 46?
Many thanks and stay safe all!
Yeah, I think 38 would be best for you. I'm a 38 in MJ Bale jackets (Drop 7 and 8) and 32 in Drop 8 trousers (side adjuster models) and size 30 in Drop 7 trousers (belt loop models). Pini Parma is a little bit larger in the waist so a 46 trouser might do you best if 48 needed to get taken in a fair bit. Thanks for the quick and helpful advice, mate.
Have had an MJ Bale size 38 Ranieri Grey (its a drop 7) for years now and only required some lengthening of the sleeves and taking in of the lower legs - very good fit for me.
Based on that, do you reckon 38 for PP?
Can definitely get both and return the lesser fit, but keen to avoid shelling out for two suits initially - not sure if I can miss that kind of money until the return goes through...!

I still recommend getting both 46 and 48 and asking them if you're able to keep whichever fits best even if jacket and trouser sizes are mismatched. They use DHL express so will arrive within a few days and then another few days to return so could get a refund within 1-2 weeks of purchasing.
Also, Spier & Mackay have their suit liquidation sale and can get some great suits for ~$300 AUD shipped. Quality is very similar and for a third the price of Pini Parma's current sale offerings it's a no brainer in my opinion. But the Soragna trousers are wonderful and really make their suits standout to me more than the standard flat front, belt loop offerings of most mid-tier makers on the market.
I've got the light-gray version of that coat.I love PP, but I wish their suits had a bit more variety in terms of shoulder-padding.
As someone who prefers some structure, I've had to pass on a lot of beautiful suits.
I did however get the brown herringbone raglan coat, and I'm extremely happy with it:

It's quite spacious, so wearing a suit underneath is no issue at all.
So the shirting materials are about equivalent if not superior? Especially interested in hearing how the summer linens compare.S&M has them all beat on shirts
They are fine, but two classes under colombo, cucinelli kitonAny idea how PP's knitwear compares with other established brands?
