Holland & Sherry?

I'd put money on Molloy.

Don't know about that exact fabric, but W. Bill 34579 is very similar.

Molloys has a look that other tweeds like Magees seem to lack. Is it my imagination? Speaking as a person whose grandmother was a Molloy LOL!

This tweed is not the same one actually, but I made it for a client and liked it so much I thought I'd get one.

Yeah, theres just something very modern but also old fashioned about Molloy. I think its mainly the colors they use.

Harris Tweed.

Client is coming in for this on Monday, but we are thinking of putting on leather elbow patches and maybe leather buttons.

That's a nice looking coat. I've always thought one should earn his elbow patches through wear rather than as an initial feature, but I could see leather buttons working well.

Don't know about the patched but def the buttons. Those are too plain.

This looks like my kind of thread!

Autumn has brought some colder weather to the UK which means I can finally get the tweed back in regular rotation.

I think you can tell, I'm a fan. Do love a bit of Harris Tweed (7 of the above are HT). Got one more en route (via eBay). Fingers crossed it'll be decent.

Bring on the autumnal weather.

I won't mention my Harris Tweed cushions!

As mentioned above, new Harris Tweed arrived. Brown with blue, green and red window pane. Sorry photos don't do it justice. Came complete with a throat latch which was a welcome addition.

Close ups:

Now I must definitely NOT buy any more. Definitely. Probably...
