The post probably tipped me over the edge towards getting some Tecovas. It’s a bit annoying that they don’t ship to Canada but I can proxy.

I think I like suede, but I’m not sure whether to get the side zips or dive right in and get some full-height boots. I used to have a pair of Frye engineer boots a decade ago and liked them, so maybe I’ll go back to a taller model.

Great article. I have become a strong advocate for the short short and would be glad to see their wider adoption. Some of my best (and best value) finds have been vintage -- depop is your friend as the 'kids' like a short short too.

I'm looking forward to wearing LEJ shirts this summer. Haven't seen them pop up much on SF but they are v beautiful, well designed and surfing somewear in the 'elegantly casual' zone.

Hell nah. Technically ropers can be side zips, they can also be lace up too
