Remember, he has to be appropriate to his social class and his public. If he dressed like George Clooney or Luca di Montezemolo (http://asuitablewardrobe.dynend.com/...ckets-fit.html) the press in England would tear him to shreds.
I'm a bit confused about where the goal posts are now.
I'm not saying Prince Charles should dress like a hollywood actor. I'm not saying the British tabloids would like that nor would I disagree that he has a narrow bland style he has to employ due to his position and class.
But the question in the original post that I was responding to was this:
No, I don't think they should. The royal style is bland, outdated and unsuitable for the consuming public at large. Your claim that he has to dress that way due to his position and class suggests maybe we even agree.In this day and age (i.e., the 21st cen.) should designers and more importantly the consuming public take their styling cues from what European royals buy and wear?
What kind of designer could make a living off of aping the Royals? It just isn't a good style for the 21st century.
