So I'm interested in making some ties using Grenadine Grossa silk. I got a quote from both producers, and the Bianchi silk is a few dollars more per meter.

There's also different minimum requirements from both producers, with Bianchi requiring a larger minimum.

I was curious whether there are differences between the two producers, whether it's the weaves or something else?

Does one producer specialize in making a better Grenadine Grossa than the other?

Also, does anyone know if there are fabric wholesalers that may carry Grenadine silk in the US? Both producers told me they don't have US distributors and don't offer samples/swatches, but I'd like to see the differences in person. Any ideas about fabric wholesalers in New York?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

    Thanks for the help.

I've been looking into this as well. Was told bianchi wss better, but think that is relative to individual opinion. You could try independent fabric jobbers or hit up trade shows, but I believe they are the only game in town for grossa & garza fina atm.

    Wanna go halfsies?? :)
