Not sure how to answer that, it's pretty black, but has like a light sheen to it. It's very subtle. I don't wear them enough to say how they'll fade. I can take pics in the morning against other black denim I own, if you like.

If you want really true jet black denim, the acne thins stay cash are insanely black and don't fade. If you can find a pair I'd suggest you buy those.

Thanks! I just bought my first pair of SLP denim (d02 blue) and am so impressed I want a black pair. Can you comment on how black the denim is? I'm worried about it fading as I like my black denim dark! Thanks!

I've been using them almost daily and I've started to see more fading around the knee area and someone the lower thigh. Personally I love the look and on the hunt for a plain indigo and grey now. Can't say for the other black denims but this pair will fade with use.

Here's some denim just for comparison.
Left is Burberry, middle is slp raw black, right is acne thin stay cash.

You can see that the Burberry and acne denim is darker. I really like the slp denim though, it's almost a "dressier black" imo.

Hmm not that I can think of. You could always get the D02 coated black, it has even more of a waxed coating to it. But there are a lot of companies that do waxed denim.
