If everyone is 'working' at home because of COVID-19, are you just making like The Dude in The Big Lebowski and sitting around in pajamas and robes, or are you wearing what you normally wear?

Fat pants and black sweaters.

Sweatpants and a hoodie for now, although I got dressed uh...either yesterday or the day before to go on a quest to find a grocery store that still had flour.

I've been WFH for most of the last few years anyway, so it hasn't changed things much for me. It's about 50/50 whether I workout, shower, and get dressed for the day or just pull on sweats and grunge around all day. Yesterday was a grunge day, so this morning I showered first thing and am wearing my usual WFH outfit: jeans, t-shirt, hoody.

I'm trying not to let this make any difference. I've got all these clothes, which I like, so I'm wearing them. I guess the only major difference is that I'm only wearing slippers not outdoor shoes, and most of my outdoor coats and jackets aren't getting much use. At the moment, I'm only going out to feed the chickens, do yardwork, and go running.

Black tees, black jeans, cool belt, and Good Art pendants and bracelet. I stick in some Ugg inserts into some AF1s. That's usually the order of the day. Or black tees, tech pants, and usually mid top AF1s. or workout clothes. Or lounge clothes. Depends on whether it's a rest day (2-3x per week right now as I recover) or not

It's surreal though. A little more than a month ago, my big decision was whether I could get enough play money together to get the Hender Scheme AF1s from @shopcanoeclub - even two weeks ago, my main search term was "get coffee stain out of natural leather:,

The economy is going to tank globally so hard... 2008 will be a joke by comparison. Tons of people will lose their jobs, people who never thought it would happen to them.

Same, yesterday I wore an Hermès wool shirt with jeans and an Inverallan "robe". Cosy but dressed up. Note that it's not like I was going to an office to touch base with Josh from sales and leverage a best practice so maybe the change is smaller for me.

I’m mentally preparing myself for quite possibly being unemployed as of July 1. Hopefully, I won’t, though.

All of a sudden, buying fancy clothes seems pretty silly.

At the start of the week I felt alright. I can work from home, but we do have to travel a lot for go-lives and trainings. But those are on hold now. Since we work as a consulting company everything is on a contract so we’re able to keep working and billing. But once these contracts end I don’t really see is getting new ones with the same value and frequency and a lot of people at my company will be let go. Hopefully I’m not one of those people.

We also put our house on the market 2 weeks ago with the goal of selling and moving home to Australia in the fall. We had showings up until yesterday (just had gloves for everybody to wear and sanitizer high touch areas as soon as we got home before letting the kids come back in). But now all showings are off limits in NY state too (as they should be) and I’m not feeling great about leaving my job voluntarily and trying to find another one in Sydney in this kind of economy.
