You don't have this done via PC, do you? I'd been told (some time ago, admittedly) that was not an option.

Beg pardon, this isn't done through PC, but through the 2 shirtmakers I go through in Naples (details on the Naples threads).

It's been in my favour a few times when there's been a mistake or the collar has shrunk in the wash etc. Its been a long struggle to get shirts made in a traditional fit, the first few attempts were all too form fitting for me.

Is a 2-3 weeks turn around still the case, even for new customers/patterns?

I made my first order at the end of January and delivery to California was 10 days after the order was placed. The predicted delivery when I placed the order was ~3 weeks.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking to order my first shirt very soon. Just triple checking all my measurements.

Just FYI: Ordered my first PC shirt on 2/16, arrived yesterday, 2/28- only 12 days from order to delivery- that includes a 3 days in transit from Hanoi. [emoji1303]

They can be very fast, and they are rarely late. I've been very happy.

I sometimes order from another company and my latest shirt from those guys took over 8 weeks to arrive.

But Proper Cloth is a well-oiled machine.

I order my chinos from another company, and it takes months and many emails with “it’s shipping next week” it seems. I ordered one shirt there recently—I wonder if it will be the same. Proper cloth is a great value and has top notch customer service. They don’t have enough variety in areas other than shirts for me yet.

Can I get a fit check? I was under the impression that my collar was too tight so I had my collar size increased. Now, I clearly have too much room and think I need to go back down in size. Other than that, any other general recommendations?

I don’t see any weird pulling, the shoulders fit nicely, and it’s close to your torso without clinging. Great.

And the collar might be just right after you wash it 2 or 3 times. Cotton shrinks a little.

Congrats on the beautiful new shirt!
