While walking out of a local theatre a heathen woman of massive stature decided to open the adjacent door while I was still in the door way, causing her door to do the following to my brand new Alden boots: A small, deep gouge was formed. A small leather piece remained attached, and when I flap it over the gouge it looks as so:
Without the flap:
What are my options? I was thinking of super-gluing that flap on and forgetting about it... but that leaves a small amount of un-dyed leather exposed to the elements. That is the only option I am comfortable with as a DIY solution. Is there anything else than can be done? Thanks. P.S. no these are not deerskin, and no I will not send them back to the retailer to ask for 3x my money back.
