Im about to start two new comissions. First a navy LP seersucker summer suit, probably SBPL but ive seen some DBPLs that look really good but feels like it defeats the purpose for a summer suit. Most likely a less structured more informal style. Second a charcoal chalk stripe flannel "power suit" in a more structured brittish cut. This one will be DBPL, whats the consensus on lapel button holes, only left side or both sides? Any recommendations on fabric would be appreciated!

The buttonhole thing depends on the tailor. DBs nornally have buttonholes on both lapels but I have seem both.

The best charcoal chalkstripe flannel out there, for me, it’s not the Fox but the Harrisons. I have swatches of both and you should do the same before ordering:

This exact fabric was actually my first pick when I looked at swatches a couple of months ago. Absolutely stunning! Seems like I'm looking in the right direction. Thank you!

Not only on the tailor but also on the fabric. I got a lengthy lesson on why my solaro has only one buttonhole - it supposedly becomes ugly because the stitching has to be done from the wrong angle etc pp. Whatever…
I feel like PROFF in this silhouette…

Now how does your right armpit feel about this?

Yeah something is going on there. Going to wear it a few times and report back to the tailor to have it rectified.

Ha that one is like where half of the banned member hang out, it is entertaining in a bully high school type of way…
HS bully at the 25 year reunion type of way lol.

It's noxious to an inexplicably bizarre extent. But, amusing, in any event.

Had a friend ask me why so many people hated me online. One guess as to where said animosity originated :rotflmao:

I absolutely love the buttonhole on both sides but it seemed to be tailor dependent

Have a friend in the rag trade who is unimpressed by the quality of Anglo Italian cloths (might be because he handles amazing vintage stuff every day), but I find them fantastic, both in terms of looks and performance. This brown herringbone linen is a joy to wear.

I am by no means a cloth expert but I have a jacket in AIT-001 and I have the same view of my cloth - cloth looks fantastic and is lovely to wear.
