yes, but as it is linen, it appears lighter that midnight. I have several midnight wollen fabrics and this WB linen feels definitely lighter, as in veering into gray tones. Definitely nothing purple.

How heavy is that Wool/Mohair you picked for the tux? I’ve had my eye on a navy W/M from VBC, but it seems a bit light at 240 gm.

I went slightly heavier and i've been very happy with it!

Color 8/oxblood is certainly the optimal route for The One Shoe

Oxblood/Horween 8 is awesome in cordovan but meh in calf.

Overall, looks great. I like a somewhat looser fit in the jacket, but it is up to you.

These are legit scores. I got you on 24.2 and we're pretty even on 24.3, but you crushed me on 24.1. Did you do Open RX or age group?

I’m far from a professional, but have had a similar issue on a few jackets. A local bespoke tailor indicated it might be due to the chest being too tight and the structured shoulders not being shaped properly. The tailor did work on both which helped immensely, however it did not completely...

I did not, originally wore it with a cummerbund, but the fiancé isn't a fan of them. I'm not worried with a stock fabric like this from VBC, any variation will be virtually invisible.
