I'll give you my thoughts after you admit to subscribing to find out where the new massage parlors are.

These massage parlor ads are useless dawg - stock pictures or three-line ads. How'z anyone supposed to know which ones are good and which are bad.

Am waiting for Gilt Cucinelli blowout. They will need to exercise a greenshoe option.

I like the fluffiness of NY Mag. I think Time Out NY is a better resource for new restaurants, etc. though.

TONY takes itself seriously. NYM knows it's superficial and is proud of it. Restaurants reviews are better from NYM IMO but movie reviews are better from TONY (the NYM movie guy truly sucks)

The funny thing is I had a brilliant idea to create a ratings website like yelp for that with an iphone app. Evidently this already exists.

We wanted to take this opportunity to clarify one important part of Gilt's business. Every day, Gilt offers our members a carefully curated selection of luxury goods in the areas of women's apparel and accessories, men's apparel and lifestyle items, home goods, and children's apparel. As you know, we do this by creating brand-specific sales that last just 36 hours. Each sale's merchandise has been hand-picked by our team of expert buyers, who go to great lengths to choose the items that will be the most desirable to our members. Our products are primarily excess goods from designers' current lines, but we also place orders for items from upcoming seasons, and in some cases we ask that a particular item be cut in another fabric. As our orders have grown larger, we have begun to ask brands to cut products exclusively for Gilt. Designers have been producing exclusive product for large department stores for years, and as Gilt's business has grown we now have the ability to extend that service to the e-commerce space. These are products that we have chosen specifically for our members, and they in no way compromise craftsmanship. Please be assured that the integrity of the products we sell to our customers are always held to the highest standards.

Do you plan to disclose which items are which? Will you be listing a made-up retail price for items which only sold at retail through you?

Of course they will. How do you think they will generate a buying frenzy if people do not know they are getting 90% off some made up price?

Did I happen to mention that each of my ebay offerings originally retailed for one gazillion EuroMacks?

anytime money is involved, it's buyer beware. companies aren't trying to be your friend, they're trying to manipulte you into buying.

obviously there are friendly and honest salespeople and business owners out there but in the end, your money puts food on thier table.

if you live in the world in 2010 and you don't know how to sense when you are being marketed to, you're going to have a rough life.

with that said, i've only made one purchase from Guilt and got what i ordered and was pleased. But i was educated on the product i bought and know how to read between the lines. It wasn't the 90% off that enticed me or even the brand, it was the product and the price point.

I was on hold with BOA for twenty five minutes today listening to them tell me how valued a customer I was, so valued in fact that originally they were only going to keep me on hold for five minutes (or so I was told) but extended it by twenty to tell me how valued I was. I'm glad GILT can make me feel that same sort of specialness. BTW, next time you post, you can press #1 for a pre-recorded post. oh,wait...

It says they're available but when I click to add them to my cart it says they're gone. Then I go back and the XXL posts show as available again.
