I've got a pair of Nudie Even Stevens and I find the Weird Guys to be a more tapered, slimmer/better fitting version of them. Can't comment on thin finns, although I imagine Skinny Guy might be comparable?

Indigo or Deep Indigo is probably your best bet, although the grey and green are really nice if you're looking for something a little different. Most people size down 2 for a nice slim fit, though it really depends on your body proportions. As long as you don't have big thighs/calves like me, sizing down 2 is probably your best bet.

got my weird guys in the lightweight indigo denim today (thanks mauro!). i sized down two from my crate route size (33) and got these in a 31, and they fit really great. a little snug, but they'll stretch. the size 31 has a 33" waist according to BiG, so that's why i "sized down" two.

i also picked up those greencast weird guys two sizes down, and those were ridiculously tight in the waist...i could only get them buttoned halfway. i sized them the same, but the difference was ridiculous. i chalk it up to the better fitting pair being lightweight, but i'm going to take these back to barneys and size up.

both of the pairs had a really interesting denim, and i'm excited to wear them both

The lightweight fit better because the denim stretches more easily... I think the cuts on your two pairs of WG are almost identical. The greencast pair feels tighter because the denim is heavier and more rigid. If they fit OK in the thighs then keep them; they will stretch in the waist - maybe dampen the waist to help it stretch. Be prepared for hip flare and sloppy fit in the thighs if you size up... And unless you sag big time, these are indeed vanity sized...
