What do you think of it?
I saw it at the show. The owner says he is trying to compete with APC . the prices retail from 120.00 to 200.0 all Japanese selvage . He wouldn't give me the mill he was using. Some if the product looked very nice.
He made a 21 oz jeans to compete with the iron heart jean.
    Feed back please.

It has the greatest name for a denim company. When will the denimbar website be carrying them?

Everyone wants to be naked and famous. Look at me I'm naked and famous.

Was tricky the first to use that phrase or did it come from somewhere else?

Website? I've never seen this product, in person or otherwise. It sounds interesting, but he must be getting them produced in Turkey or China. I can't figure that he could FOB them for $25 from Japan, which is what he must be doing if he can retail at $120. Doesn't mean that he can't get good production out of either though. How does the 21 ounce denim look? Is it like Ironheart, or more like the heavyweight Samurais in the way it is milled?

Denim looks decent enough. Cuts are pretty standard/boring, hardware not very exciting.
Super thick slim guy (the 21 oz) is not excactly an Iron Heart killer, but pretty interesting, especially at the price point.

EDIT: I guess I should mention the fact that I think the branding/naming and website are really lame....

I initially liked the idea of another affordable jean and I thought that I'd be able to get past the company name if the jeans were great. Now that I've seen the site, I must say I'm pretty disappointed.

    Comments:
    - They offer nothing out of the ordinary in terms of cut
    - I like the streaky denim, despite the fact that it looks ugly on their pictures on the site.
    - The logo selvage is really lame.
    - The selvage coin pocket is overkill
    - I like that they offer a natural indigo jean
    - The vintage indigo is ugly
    - Hardware looks very uninteresting
    - Leather patch looks pretty crappy on most of the jeans.

They seem like they would be a good jean to get people started for cheap though. I'd love to see how they fade.

I saw it perhaps where Denimbar saw it, at Blue [trade show] in Jan.

I am not the most sophisticated denim guy but I liked it, esp the irregular weaves.

The proprietor said he was going to be in Blue in Green (I have not verified this). This would be their lowest priced denim, I think. He was from a Canadian clothing family connected to Bon Marche [what is this in Canada?]. He said one way he kept the price low was by avoiding all distressing. Everything was raw or one-wash.

So even if it doesn't have every one of the details you want, it's a kind of gateway drug to the heavier stuff in Japanese denim.
