Haven't been here in a while. What would you guys suggest for someone who just got a $50 gift certificate?

I'm thinking about getting some classic chinos on sale, but that's boring.

Dude, there isn't anything you will want at J.Crew you should just get rid of the gift cert; no lose situation.

PM me for my addy.

Shirts for work, but I'm waiting for the Brooks Bros. sale on the 22nd. I could always use a couple pants for work. I like their chinos, but any word on their wool or suit pants?

Haha, well it's not the issue of not wanting anything. I usually want most of what J.Crew has to offer, but I tend to fall into rut of getting the same things from the same places. I thought it would be good to broaden my horizon and get a little inspiration from you guys.

They're all made with the same linen (Baird McNutt Irish Linen) but the Camp Shirt is a style, two buttoned pockets and when you roll the sleeves up there are tabs that button up the sleeves. I'll try to get a picture

I also just ordered some of their Essential Lightweight Wool trousers and really like them. They're a much higher quality than what I was expecting, I will say they're only lined from the waist to the knee (as opposed to the full leg) but they're still pretty nice.

You can return stuff without tags or original receipt if you haven't worn/washed, you receive full credit for the current value that it is in store.

1) Yes. You will need a valid student email address or sometimes they might ask an in-store employee to verify your ID.
2) Yes.
3) It depends. If you already applied a special promotion (say, 20% off), then they won't apply the student discount. If the item is simply reduced in price and not part of some special promotion, then the student discount should still apply.

You can only get free shipping from the Red phone if the items are regular price. Sale items do not qualify for free shipping from the Red phone.

Yes, you can return anything ordered online to any of their retail (non-outlet) stores. I've done it many times. I've even returned men's items to their "women only" store with no problems.
