i kinda like the "just fits" from uniqlo that i bought last month..they fit pretty well for the price. the plaid also looks cool with its color and pattern.

The shirts are more slim fitting than the ones at BR or Gap I tried on.

Only one I have handy is this pic, doesn't give you many details. There is a small ram embroidered on the pocket but its pretty low-key.

Aw, XS 35-36. Considering they're cut big and I'm only a 33" chest ... where's the XXXS?

the flathead shirt is made of much thicker material, different from any western shirt ive seen. although the buttons look it, the side profile of the shirt gave it away it wasnt a flathead. looking at how the material on the AE shirt folds in the picture, id say it was a thin cotton that probably wrinkles very easily.

I picked up an AE western shirt with a larger plaid a couple of months ago. The fit is phenomenal and there is no branding on the outside of the shirt. The construction isn't anything special, but it feels better than my H&M shirts. Couple that with the ability to get long sleeve lengths in tall sizes, and I will be trying them again.

Why were people ready to accept Target clothing as improved but there's this backlash against AE?

Hey, the XS turned out to be a really nice fit after all. Thanks for sharing, Whodini.

(btw, gym point entirely valid, but ... boy's department? Yargh!)
