+1. Althbough I can do it soon, I am taking my time sizing up the better bespoke options and designers. Some of the Italians and Japanese makers are tuning out very unique shoes.

Agree. This is my next step, few bespoke to last me the next 20 years. Although I have no problem with MTO, bespoke is the next frontier. Prices are converging with all the extras I ask for in an MTO, specially the GG Deco range.

I assume no black pedestrian shoes? :D

For the guy's going bespoke if you go the Japanese bespoke route I'd seriously consider Hidetaka Fukaya; my close friend has feet which are impossible to size and he got a pair and their are   worthy! I've got similarly marsupialed feet so hopefully in future (whenever that is) I will go bespoke; probably Cleverly or Koji Suzuki.

wish the japanese makers were featured more on here.

I would like to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone here at Styleforum! It's been a great year for me and Bespoke-England with hours of enjoyment reading and sharing your comments and only hope that more guys join in this thread. It's the Number 1 thread on here!
I will be launching a monthly "Made to Order" limited edition shoe each month of 2013 without the extra MTO charge which will give you an opportunity to advise to what you would like. Hopefully creating some not yet seen shoes. So keep looking out for my suggestions and add any extras you would like to see.
Happy Christmas!
Nick.

Merry Christmas to you too!

I don't mean to be rude but are you perhaps the same Nick from Bespoke England?

I have been registered with SF for 6 months now and I never realized the owner of the G&G retail site might also be a SF member! LOL!

If you are the same Nick I am the guy who sent you an e-mail with a bunch of urls of G&G stuff I am interested in buying, I really do hope you have had time to look through them because I am a REALLY keen buyer!

If you are not the same Nick, well, perhaps you could sell me some shoes anyway ;-)

The montly MTO model sounds like a great idea.

How about offering a wholecut in black (or midnight blue) stingray sometime in early summer. They should be ready by fall and would make a great shoe for holiday parties.

I don't think I'll ever go bespoke. Just can't justify the price. I've got a pretty forgiving set of feet (d width), normal arch, etc. maybe in 30 years when I've got $3k to blow on a single pair

nephew,
bean counter genes will make it difficult to pull the trigger

Agree. I keep a spreadsheet with info of every pair of shoes I own/owned that includes size info, last, buying price, selling price, where they were purchased, sold (to whom). The spreadsheet is a constant reminder of how i need to sell several pairs and more importantly stop buying new one
