Should I close the back vent of the Andover or leave it open?
Currently it falls awkwardly where the two halves of the fabric hit each other rather than lying down. 1) Because of wrinkle, so, have to wait for the jacket and the fabric to settle, and 2) My rear may not be the best for single vent as it causes it to not lie down flat.

The tropical wool wrinkles much easier, but it just came right out of the box so I am not sure hanging it overnight will help.
Super light compared to my other jackets, almost like linen weight but is 100% wool. Love the pocket details. Thankfully I picked up a medium because I'd rip the seams in a small. As is, medium is pretty fitted especially across the back.

Color for the tropical wool is indeed charcoal. No hints of light gray. Will see how it is in the daylight. TBH I love the Drivers Jacket a lot more, but the Andover has its place.

edit:
I am considering the Truman jacket now due to the double vent, but not too big of a fan of the patch pockets. Truman looks shorter in the body, can anyone confirm this?

I'd keep it open. I had the same problem with my FW12 glen plaid Andover. When I first got it, it was shooting out of the back and looked really awkward. After a little bit though the fabric kind of broke in and the problem went away.

I think the Truman is about .5'' shorter. If you're into the double vent, the Baker might be another one to consider.

Thanks! I like the single vent for this type of jacket. Will let the fabric settle and wear it out some more to get the vent to sit better. I can always close it halfway, which I am considering since I find it a bit high up. Perhaps closing it vertically by .5" would be ideal.
