Thanks, Buda. looks like 5 months is the wait for all/many Galways. I've only seen one sizing rec saying to use the same size as 82. Dunno either. Pretty interested in that makeup.

@Buda. I'd love to do a Galway in all Almond CC. What you think?

I'm sure it would be nice but I'm not ready to drop those $$ on lighter colored boots yet. I wouldn't wear them enough. I'm intrigued by idea of a walnut or mahogany cc Galway with ridgeway sole on the 606.

You may be right, actually. I think almond is lighter than I thought it was. I was looking at pics online that I thought were almond, but they are Rosewood. So 1.) Rosewood isn't quite as red as I was thinking and 2.) I'll check out mahogany.

What type of boot are you going for? Something between the 'dressier' 82 last, calf model and the super tough, veldt, CC, shearling?

It took me four months to finally take them in their maiden voyage, but I'm wearing my burgundy Beaulieus today. Very belated thanks to the good people at Skoaktiebolaget

82 last fits soooo good

Hi Julian,

I don't think the size difference will be noticeable at all IRL without any deep scrutinizing. My wife has a few pairs heels & boots she got from ebay are mismatched in size (5.5 & 6). And I have never noticed any difference whatsoever. Having said that, I am not sure whether you would be able to order a pair of EG with a difference size. Please keep us posted.

BTW, going up a width should be 6E, not 6C.

Just received a pair of EG Ullswater that I had made up. These are on the 202 last with Mahogany Country Calf on dainite soles. I know that some people didn't like this style, but to me this is an awesome foul weather country shoe.

@budapest12 Came up with these pics after a google search. This is a nice color. I've seen it look a bit redder, too. Thanks cwh812 for the pics.

BTW, you search almost anything shoe related on google and SF is always the second or third hit. We have quite the wealth of knowledge here!

Quote: You and I are in the same boat. My left foot is about a half size larger than my right. I'll do some digging and let you know what I find. EDIT: It looks like Alfred Sargent used to allow odd-size pairs as part of their GMTO's, but not sure if they've gotten rid of that policy or not. I'd be more than willing to go in on a GTMO with you if that's still the case.

Ding ding ding - exactly. I want something resilient but elegant enough for office wear. I don't plan to wear them in a river or while hunting, etc, but they would be go-to boots for work days with bad rain and snow. Skoak's model does work but I prefer a darker color, don't need shearling, and really like the look of Galways I've seen on the 606 (which can be made with ridgeway/medway).

I am board with something like that. Have any pics of the Galway on 606?
