Hi all,

Im interested in cavour jacket that is on sale but I have some sizing question. After I looked at the size chart, the measurement seems pretty off standard from other normal RTW brand eg. Ring Jacket but the description says choosing my normal size. Normal I fit between 48-50 in RJ but in Cavour size chart, the 48 runs very large especially in the shoulder. Even 46’s shoulder still runs larger than what I usually wear. Does anybody have any input about this? Thank you in advance.

Cavour runs standard. I have plenty of RJ in 34-36 and the sizing of the Cavour 36 last season's cut which is smaller on shoulder and chest is more similar to the RJ 34. Now since the new cut is bigger, it should be same size for RJ and Cavour.

PS: I do think the new cut has too wide of a shoulder but I said the same about SM's wider than std shoulders but they wear just fine.

Thank you for the quick response sir! Ill go with the 48 then! And in terms of fit, how was it compared to the RJ184? Slimmer or wider? Thanks

Shoulder and sleeves would be wider on Cavour's new cut. The rest should be the same.

I just picked up a couple of the jackets in that size.

The actual measurements on them for a 48R are ~20.5" chest, 18" waist (middle button), 29" length (BOC), and sleeves ~24.5" (in other words the size chart is fairly accurate). The shoulders are indeed extended but I believe that is the silhouette; the sleeve head is shaped differently so overall the look and feel is very complimentary.

I am also a 48R in Ring Jacket (184 fits slim and AMJ03 fits comfortably) and these jackets fit similar to the 184.

Hi everyone!

We are currently working on both our FW19 and SS20 Cavour collections.

So I figured I'd ask you guys which products you would like to see more of in our Cavour lineup?
Is there anything you think is missing?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Trousers that accommodate my big butt and thighs would be nice, especially for your suits. IE pleats, and also a bit higher rise. However I understand that it is easier said than done since (and I am guessing here) "#menswear"-enthusiasts are but a few % of your clientele.

^ to compliment the above post, it would be nice to have a suit separate option as part of the Cavour line. I need to go up in size for pants to accommodate the butt/thigh, so it would be good to have this option for at least one suiting fabric per season, perhaps.

We are working on it. Which is why I am curious to see what kind of input I can gather from SF.
What kind of fabrics would you like to see in such a suit?

We also have some pieces inbound from RJ and Lardini that have pleats and high rise.

#menswear entusiasts are only a few % of any stores clientele.
The ones that pay the bills are lawyers and finance guys, and your average joe who needs a new pair of chinos every now and then.

Whenever we manage to find a nice 4 season fabric that checks all our boxes, we plan to get a mix/match stock program going.
Would be nice to have atleast a navy and a charcoal option.

One per season is not going to work for a small company like ours. Too many mis matched leftovers I'm afraid.
It would have to cost double, which I think would be a hard thing to sell, no?
