yikes.. going to return or have your tailor let it out? hows the overall suit jacket? Would like to see the jacket on too.. maybe try cuffing the pants a little so theres no break?

the jackets of cavour are wonderful but due to the very tight trousers fit and the mid-rise I will return the suit:( Letting out the side seams may have helped but compared to my high rise trousers, these trousers look not really well.

Do you think if you sized up, it would've helped leg width wise or still pretty skinny?

For what it's worth, sizing up 1 pant size works very well for me. I wear a 48 jacket very well but the 48 pants are skin tight whereas a 50 is a world of a difference.
I do this for SC (50) and trousers (52). Problem is with suits that come in fixed sizes :( Damn my big but and thighs :/

I only have 2 Cavour full suits, 1 Mod1 and 1 Mod2. Surprisingly the Mod1 trouser was looser than the Mod2. All i had to let out was the waist and butt for Mod1, but Mod2 i had to take the inner thighs out as well.

@kevinsvindland the description to your suits and jackets on the website says that it features hand made lapel buttonhole. However I am certain that all buttons on my jackets are hand made. Who's wrong here? And if it's your web3, than it would make sense to update it

what a shame that the trousers are too tight like Suitsupply, but hopefully they change their trouser fit soon with a high rise.

Hi,

I live in NYC and was hoping to get advice on these two items using loro piana fabric:

For both items, what temperatures can I wear it in? Will 10-20F be too cold?
For either jacket, can I wear an overcoat over it or nope?

For the field jacket, the "green" looks gray and the "taupe" I can't tell if it's a light maroone or brown or what. Does anyone have photos of these?

Thank you!

I have the Filed Jacket in brown. The colour in reality matches completely the photos. So I assume the other two are spot on too ( grey-ish green and grey-ish brown ).

As for the jacket itself - it is one of my favourites and most versatile but it is definitely not a winter one more like a spring/autumn. I wear mine when it is between 10-20 degrees in Celsius only with a shirt and when it is between 0-10 degrees with thick sweater/cardigan. Would never wear it when it is below 0.

I find ridiculous the idea to wear overcoat on top of it ( outwear over outwear ) but each on their own.

Agree. Live in NYC and have last years field jacket. Fine until maybe 40-45 Celsius with a sweater underneath. Not for freezing weather. Still recommended though

Wearing a field jacket and sweater in 45° Celsius would be the ultimate fashion over function. Also absolute torture.

Wearing that jacket with sweater in 45 Celsius would be suicide :) But I think he meant 40-45 F. Anyway a great jacket just not for NYC winter.
