Correction: some of the shoes at NE are cheaper than the Carmina store; the Monks are a great deal.

I haven't ordered from the store yet, but I might take a chance since the price is good. Getting hit with duties is hit and miss.

How did you guys miss this???

Carmina's for $429.01 shipped to US and Canada.

(apologies if it has been shared before)

Edit:

Nope: total comes out to $502 when ordering through Carmina (that includes the VAT deduction).

Most of our Carmina shoes are about $455 including shipping to the US (today's currency exchange rate), loafers are a little less, boots a little more. Usually ordering from Carmina directly is a little cheaper tough, but sometimes the exchange rate works in our (and your) favor.

A dark congac, Rain last 5 eyelet chukka just went up on the Carmina website. They end up a little over $600.

I tried to place an order as soon as I saw this post. Wasn't available in size 8 though...

What cream & wax color are you guys using to polish Bordeaux calf Carminas? I'm debating between "08 Bordo" and "09 Mahagoni" but I'm ordering online b/c the stores I went to did not have either of those colors.

And the service from Skoaktiebolaget is second to none, more than compensating the tiny price difference to Carmina direct.

Thanks for that. Been thinking about doing pretty much that exact boot but on the Simpson last. Anyone able to tell me the difference between Simpson and Rain, I think I've heard they are quite similar?

In other news Matches have their Carmina offerings at 30% off. A few crazy styles and a few that are probably a little more SF approved. http://www.matchesfashion.com/mens/carmina-shoemaker

Simpson and Rain are not similar. Rain is EE width, Simpson is narrower and a more chiseled toe box than Rain.
