With the increase in pre-order activity, we order a lot less units for the rack now. I think this is the direction our tailored business is going now. More pre-orders, MTOs, etc... less inventory

With the increase in pre-order activity, we order a lot less units for the rack now.  I think this is the direction our tailored business is going now.  More pre-orders, MTOs, etc... less depth of inventory.  I feel that it's more exciting to have 7 or 8 styles per season than spend all our buy budget on deeper inventory for 3-4 styles.  

Sounds like a good strategy and perhaps would also weaken the 'will wait until there's a deep deep discount' mentality

Wow. The Formosa offerings are fantastic this year. I would happily wear every single garment. If I was not saving for a wedding, I would gobble some of them up.

Thanks! I'm sure that I saw a red shirt with green jacket somewhere on the internets and filed it away. So all I can claim is implementation. (Plus pink and green are a pretty common combo, and this coral red is in the same family as pink, so ...) There's definitely some risk of it turning out Christmas-y, but that's where the tie helps.

Only one of the three is truly a necessity. I suggested that we take a lot of #styfo bathroom selfies.

We'll also have Type 3 jeans in the season-specific slate grey color, as well as a lightweight denim shirt in off-white, but still waiting on photos for those.

Also, did the Formosa pattern change? I see that the chest on the 50 is .8" smaller than before (not sure if that is just a negligible amount).

Well, the initial plan was to elope. Initial plan got scrapped, as a result of conflicting schedules. Long story short... that ship has unfortunately sailed.
