27 styles of AE shoes on sale at Zappos currently - including the walnut and brown burnished Fifth Avenues I was about to pull the trigger on: $229 ea, which is less than the asking price for seconds at the Brookfield store.

Edit:

Should have also mentioned: this is also the price at canada.zappos.com ($10 ship). Not a big deal for you people in the US, but my local Harry Rosen wants $375 cad for the 5ths.

I'd love to help but I've got a crazy week coming up and don't even know if I'll be able to make it. There is also a question of liquidity of funds...

TORONTO Members....Heads UP Allen Edmonds Trunk Sale at Harry Rosen main store on Bloor St west of Bay St. Begins October 09, 2010. and runs for 1 week. They'll have the Bayfield boot there too, among plenty of other AE models that Harry's doesn't carry.

I am headed to NYC for a business trip later this week and think I might be able to get all friday afternoon/evening free to shop around. Any suggestions on 2 - 3 stores that would be a must hit? e.g. Century 21? Is it worth going there? Also, was thinking of picking up a couple of Mabitex from Daffy's...which daffy store(s) should I go to?

Back in Montreal now. Send me a wish list, I might be able to swing something. By the way, I goofed on the price of coats- they start at $75, not $35. That's still about 80% off retail which I think is SF-approved.

I stopped in at C21 on Long Island today.

They had a large selection of Borrelli shirts for $159. Surprisingly, I did not see any hand work on the shirts. The labels are the same but these don't seem to be the same Borrelli shirts that would be sold at stores like NM.

They had Tom Ford Bowties for $30. TF suits for $650-1500... nothing nice though. Some seriously sweet TF suede jackets for $750-$1500.

I have also recently seen some Barba shirts there for $80 but there were none today.

RJ ties (made in UK) are $30.

C21 in Manhattan has women's BBBF for killer prices. I got my wife a few OCBDs for $30 ea. They also have $600 skirts for $80-100 and $1200 cashmere sweaters for $200. It is all from fall 2007 so the quality is excellent. The skirts and sweaters are made in Scotland or Italy. The OCBDs are made in the same factory as the Men's versions.

If C21 is in the San Francisco Bay Area, an IC on B&S from Moo will be forthcoming soon.
