That is good. Only right, though seeing as you were responsible for the majority of it!
Here's an interesting pic from April 1969. The guys here are obviously mods. The jean-jackets (even a leather one possibly even made by Levi Strauss) and the general style would say 'The North' to you, right? Well the pic was in fact taken in Bedford. I am including it here to show how close to London you could get and still have a totally different style carrying on.

not sure if i have ever seen this pic, it's a good one. Bedford...lol, have been to this town on my last trip, I'm sure it was a far nicer place in 1969 than it is today.
It you look at the Film "Bronco Bullfrog"-which came out in `69,the Clothes(which are their own) they wear are closer to this than Skinheads.This was filmed in East London.
Have you seen this, it uses the 'hard Mod' term in 1972....
