    Here's an interesting pic from April 1969. The guys here are obviously mods. The jean-jackets (even a leather one possibly even made by Levi Strauss) and the general style would say 'The North' to you, right? Well the pic was in fact taken in Bedford. I am including it here to show how close to London you could get and still have a totally different style carrying on. [​IMG] (c) Dave Crawley
    not sure if i have ever seen this pic, it's a good one. Bedford...lol, have been to this town on my last trip, I'm sure it was a far nicer place in 1969 than it is today.

    It you look at the Film "Bronco Bullfrog"-which came out in `69,the Clothes(which are their own) they wear are closer to this than Skinheads.This was filmed in East London.
